  • Do Now- Do you think that the Nuremberg Trials were justified? How would you propose punishing any Nazi war criminal who might still be discovered (They would all likely be at least in their 90s)?
  • We finish Holocaust on Trial. (15 minutes)
  • Rise of Totalitarianism test corrections.
  • WWII test tomorrow. You will be able to use you learning targets packet. You will want to review the self-evaluation questions on the last 3 pages of the packet prior to the test.

    • We will watch Holocaust on Trial. As you watch, consider and respond to the following questions:
    • What evidence was presented by Irving to support his contention that the Holocaust didn’t happen?
    • What evidence did Deborah Lipstadt’s attorney introduce to prove the existence of the Holocaust?
    • How would you respond to someone who denied the Holocaust?

  • Do Now- Why did ordinary Germans participate in (or at least not protest) the Holocaust? (5 minutes)
  • Take out your Nuremberg film study guide and cast of characters. Prepare to answer the questions while watching the film. There will be questions from the film on the WWII test.
  • WWII Test is Friday. You will be able to use you learning targets packet. You will want to review the self-evaluation questions on the last 3 pages of the packet prior to the test.

  • Do Now- Should President Truman have ordered the use of the atomic bomb? Why/why not?(5 minutes)
  • Take notes over the Holocaust presentation in class. (15 minutes)
  • Complete the Holocaust story notes page using the Holocaust reading in the packet. (15 minutes)
  • Continue “Nuremberg.”
  • Before the end of class, you should be able to answer learning targets 8, 9, & 18.
  • WWII test on Friday!
