  • Bring textbook and learning targets and vocab packets from French Revolution.
  • Turn in the Absolutism, Scientific Revolution, Enlightenment practice test answer sheet.
  • Pick up the French Revolution review test from the tray at the front of the room.
  • Complete the review test using your knowledge, your packets, (and, for the last 15 minutes, your neighbors. You will need to finish in class. This will count as a formative assessment score. (And it is an awesome review for your final.)
  • Answer keys for the Absolutism, Scientific Revolution, Enlightenment and French Revolution practice tests are on Schoolcenter.

  • We are writing the Unit 4 DBQ today.
    • You will need:
      • The DBQ packet
      • Paper
      • Pen or pencil
    • You may use your planning worksheet.
    • Before you leave class, staple your essay response to the DBQ packet and turn in to the tray by the door.
  • If you would like to do test corrections over unit 4, you will need to come in before or after school today, tomorrow, or Thursday to complete. All materials are in your hour’s test correction folder. Test corrections will be optional for this unit.
  • Extra credit is due by midnight tonight. Refer to the blog post from December 11 for details.

    • The numbers on the test start over #1 on the SRE section. Continue on your answer sheet with #41.

  • Students took the unit 4 objective test
  • Unit 4 DBQ is tomorrow. Be sure you take time to work through the DBQ planning worksheet before coming to class.
  • Unit 3 DBQ has been scored in Turnitin.com and entered in Synergy.
  • Unit 4 Spiderweb has been scored in Turnitin.com and entered in Synergy. W.i.p.s need to be revised by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.
  • All the revision assignments through The Exodusters have been scored in Turnitin and entered in Synergy. Please let me know ASAP if you believe there are any discrepancies.

  • Take out your French Revolution Learning Targets packet, French Revolution Vocabulary worksheet, and French Revolution documents (“What is the 3rd Estate” & “Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen”). You may refer to these while you write your essays.
    • Everyone will answer question 1, then choose 2 of the remaining 3 questions to answer also.
    • You may choose to answer all 4 questions, and have your 4th answer count as extra credit. Be sure to clearly identify which answer is for extra credit.
  • When finished, turn in your essays to the tray by the door.

  • Do Now question- “Do Now question- How did the Committee of Public Safety come to power? How did the Reign of Terror affect ordinary citizens?”
  • Turn to the Napoleon page in the packet and complete from my lecture, pages 229-237 in the text and the Napoleon reading you picked up yesterday. (20 minutes)
  • Turn to the Congress of Vienna page in the packet and complete from my lecture and pages 238-239 in the text. (20 minutes)
  • By the end of the period, you should be able to answer learning targets questions 21-30.

  • Do Now question- In your own words, what are the main arguments made by the Abbe Sieyes in “What is the 3rd Estate?”
  • Turn to the DoRoMac handout. Read carefully, and answer the questions on the back to the best of your ability. Be prepared to discuss. (15 minutes)
  • Turn to the Radical Revolution page in the packet and continue filling out the organizer using the reading. (15 minutes
  • Turn to the Napoleon organizer in the packet and complete using pages 229-237 in your text and the Napoleon reading from the table.
  • By the end of the period, you should be able to answer learning target questions 14-27.
  • Today is the last day to submit/ rewrite essays.
