  • Turn to the “The Indian Subcontinent Achieves Freedom” page in the packet and complete this using pages 563-569 in your text. Prepare to discuss. (18 minutes)
  • Turn to the “Conflicts in the Middle East” page in the packet for and use pages 583-589 in your text to complete.  Be prepared to discuss. (15 minutes)
  • Turn to page 641 in your text.  Answer # 3, 5, & 6 on p. 646.  Also answer this question, “How does OPEC influence economic and political policy globally? Be prepared to discuss. (10 minutes)
  • Any remaining time may be used to complete the Semester learning targets packet and review for the final.

Conclude APUSH Film Festival.  King of the Hill reviews due tomorrow.  Hoover Dam extra credit reviews due Wednesday.  Don’t forget to return textbooks, AP review books, and exemption permission forms, if applicable.

  • Sputnik, Destalinization, brinkmanship, SALT, détente, SDI (8 minutes)
  • Do the “Cold War Divides the World” page in the packet using pages 548- 553 in your text. (12 minutes)
  • Lecture/discussion over the Cuban Missile Crisis (15 minutes).
  • Turn to the “The Indian Subcontinent Achieves Freedom” page in the packet and complete this using pages 563-569 in your text. Prepare to discuss. (20 minutes)
  • By the end of the period, you should be able to answer learning target questions 7, 9, 10, 13, 14.

  • Turn in the Cold War vocab to the tray by the door.  If you don’t have the vocab, sign up for Overtime on the clipboard to be able to earn up to 90%.
  • Do the “Wars in Korea and Vietnam” page in the packet using pages 542-547 in your text. (15 minutes)
  • Discuss (10 minutes)
  • Turn to the “Cold War divides the World” page in the packet. Complete using pages 548- 553 in your text. (15 minutes) Make sure to finish this before class tomorrow if you can’t in class.
