  • Take out your Do Now sheet and answer the following, What does “faith” mean to you? In what or whom do you have “faith?” Turn in the sheet when finished. (3 minutes)
  • Debrief Reformation Research. (20 minutes
  • Pick up Reformation packet and turn to the “Luther leads the Reformation” page.  Complete in preparation for class discussion. (20 minutes)
  • Reformation vocab worksheet due Monday.

  • Take out your Do Now sheet and answer the following, “How do you define “truth.”  Is there such a thing as “absolute truth?” (3 minutes)
  • Turn in Renaissance Review quiz if you didn’t yesterday in class.
  • Pick up the Reformation research guide. Add the following website to the list at the top of the page: http://www.saburchill.com/history/chapters/chap5101.html
  • We will go to the tech lab in room 508 to work on this. Due Friday. (60 minutes)
  • Before leaving the tech lab, pick up the Reformation vocab sheet.  You may start working on this today if I am satisfied with your Reformation research.  Due Monday.

We watched and discussed segment from Founding Brothers, adapted from the book of the same name by Joseph Ellis.

Vocab quizzes for chapters 3, 4 and 5, 6 have been posted in eSIS.  British Colonial Policy and Declaring Independence have been scored on Turnitin.com and posted in eSIS.

  • Take out your Do Now sheet and answer the following, “What would be the traits of the ideal man or woman of today?” (3 minutes)
  • Pick up the Northern Renaissance study guide from the tray at the front of the room.  Use chapter 1, section 2 in your textbook (pages 45-51) to complete. (20 minutes) Due tomorrow.
  • Participate in the slideshow of Northern Renaissance art and artists. (20 minutes)

We discussed the statement “From 1781 to 1789 the Articles of Confederation provided the United States with an effective government.”

  • Turn in the Medici: Makers of Modern Art story notes.
  • Turn to the story notes page “Italy: Birthplace of the Renaissance” in your packet.  Use pages 37-39 in your text to identify setting, characters, and plot. Use the questions in the left-hand column as a guide. (20 minutes)
  • For the remainder of the period, we will work on Renaissance learning targets in the packet:
    • #2- p. 35, #3- p. 37, #4- p. 38, #5- p. 39, #6- p. 37-38, #7- p. 37-38, #8- packet, #9- notes, #10- notes, #11- p. 38, #12- notes, #13- p. 41, #14- p. 38-39.
