  • Bellringer- If you lived in Germany in 1923, how would the hyperinflation have affected you?
  • Turn to the chart in the packet labeled “What were the main issues/concerns after WWI?”  We will complete this together.
  • For the remainder of the period, we will watch a film, Last of the Czars: Revolution.  Complete the study guide as we go.  Study guide will be due on Friday.

  • Pick up a new bellringer sheet and Rise of Totalitarianism packet from the table by the door.  Friday’s date is 4/2.  Next Friday is 4/9.
  • Bellringer- Predict the impact of WWI’s costs. Will nations work to prevent another war?  How?
  • Test corrections.  Turn test and answer sheet in to tray when finished.
  • After you finish test corrections, turn to the table labeled “What were the main issues/concerns after WWI?”  Using pages 425-7 in your text, start working to fill in the boxes.

We reviewed the unit 7 DBQ, and then students took the chapter 35 vocab quiz.

New Deal projects are due tomorrow.  These should be submitted to the appropriate folder in:

  • Turn in your WWI packet to the tray by the door.  If you don’t have it, sign up on the clipboard for Overtime tonight to earn up to 90%
  • Take the WWI test.  You may use as much of the period as you need.
  • After you complete the test, turn in your test and answer sheet to the tray.
  • Pick up a Rise of Totalitarianism vocab packet and begin working on it. This will be due next Monday.

  • Bellringer- What do you think were the most significant costs of WWI? Explain.
  • Turn to the Story page: A Flawed Peace. Take notes from the information in your book. (15-20 minutes)
  • Afterward, listen to the lecture about the Treaty of Versaille and add any information you think is important or interesting.
  • WWI test is on Monday, 3/29.  You will turn in your completed packet at that time. You should go over review questions 1-10 by today, 11-17 by Thursday, 18-24 by Friday, and 25-27 by Monday.

  • Bellringer- What were the main features of trench warfare?  Why did the fighting (especially on the Western Front) end up this way?
  • Take out your WWI note-taking handout.  Prepare to finish taking notes over WWI.
  • Turn to the propaganda section of the packet.  Listen to the lecture and look at the examples of propaganda on the screen in preparation for completing this section on your own.
  • WWI test is on Monday, 3/29.  You should go over review questions 1-10 by Wednesday, 11-17 by Thursday, 18-24 by Friday, and 25-27 by Monday.
