  • Pick up the French Revolution packet from the table by the door.=
  • Bellringer question- What, if anything, would lead you to take part in a violent revolution?
  • Turn to “The Estates in France” page in the packet. Complete the chart using information from pages 217-218 of your text and my lecture.
  • With any time remaining, you may work on your map of France prior to Napoleon. This will be due tomorrow.
  • French Rev. vocab will be due on block.

  • We reviewed several of the unit 3 objective test questions together, then students worked on completing test corrections will need to be completed by 7:30 a.m. Monday, 12/7.
  • Students picked up the unit 4 handouts.  You will find due dates here.  Due to time constraints, we will test over units 4 and 5 together.

  • Pick up a new bellringer sheet.  Date it 11/27 and 12/4.
  • Bellringer question- How would you change an unjust government?
  • Using your book, vocab, and packets, make test corrections on your scantron answer sheet.
  • When finished with test corrections, turn in the test and answer sheet (not stapled) to the tray and pick up the “Map of Europe before Napoleon” from the table by the door.
  • You will work to complete this map during class using the maps in your textbook on pages 187, 215, 232, and 240. This will be turned in on Monday, November 30.
  • The French Revolution vocab is due on block day after Thanksgiving.

  • Turn in the Enlightenment packet to the tray by the door.
  • Put away books and notes and take out #2 pencils and an eraser.
  • Put your name on your test.
  • When you are finished with your test, turn in the test and answer sheet to the tray.
  • Pick up and begin working on the French Revolution vocab sheet.  This will be due on Block Day the week after Thanksgiving.

    • Bellringer question- What is the source of a government’s authority?
    • Work on completing the last 2 pages of the Enlightenment packet.
    • By the time you are finished with these, you should be able to answer learning target questions 2, 3 A-C, 4 A-C.
    • Scientific Revolution/ Enlightenment quiz Monday.  You will turn in the Enlightenment packet at that time.

    With most students away for a field trip, the remainder had an opportunity to work on Discourse.  The DBQ will be written on Tuesday.  The topic will be Antebellum Reform Movements.

    Students may see their unit 2 DBQs on Turnitin.com.  All scores and comments will be available by the end of the day.  Also, don’t forget to look at the peer reviews we did earlier.

    Don’t forget the review questions at theTestingCenter.com! So far, only 5 of you have even logged in!

    • Turn in the Scientific Revolution/ Enlightenment vocab sheet to the tray.
    • Turn in the Scientific Revolution packet to the tray.
    • Pick up the Enlightenment packet.
    • Bellringer question- What is the purpose of government?
    • After receiving your absolute monarchs test, you will work on test corrections.  Record all your answers on a separate sheet of paper.  Turn in both the test and the separate sheet in the tray when you are finished.
    • You will work on the “Enlightenment Philosophers, Describe their Beliefs” and “Enlightenment Quotes” pages.  After finishing these pages, you should be able to answer learning target question 1 A-F.
    • Quiz on Monday

    I lectured over Antebellum reform movements (podcast shortly).  Students then took the chapter 15, 16 vocab quiz.  With any time remaining, students worked on Discourse, which needs to be done by Monday.
