APUSH- Students did test corrections, then received all the assignments and due dates for Unit II.

WWH– Students received information about the crusades and completed the Black Death Web Activity. Students had time to work on their Purpose for Reading questions, which will be due on Monday, October 2. Students may now register for access to the online edition of the textbook. They received the activation code in class.

APUSH– Students completed the unit 1 essay writing activity. This activity requires students to analyze prompts and documentary evidence. On Friday students will complete test corrections and recieve assignments and due dates for Unit 2.

WWH– Students received Middle Ages packets, and notes sheet for Feudalism. We began work on purpose for reading questions over the Middle Ages. These will be due on Monday or Tuesday, depending on which day students attend Tucker Leadership.

APUSH– Students took the Unit 1 objective test today. They will do an essay writing exercise in class on block day, and then test corrections on Friday, Sept. 29. For more information about test corrections, check on my podcast on the subject.

WWH– Students completed Middle Ages visual reading assignment, and turned in the Middle Ages vocabulary worksheets.

APUSH– Students presented group timelines. Unit 1 objective test is tomorrow, September 26.

WWH– Students worked on Middle Ages visual reading. This will be completed by the end of class tomorrow. Middle Ages vocabulary sheet is due tomorrow, September 26.

APUSH– We graded chapters 5 & 6 of the Unit 1 study guide. Students will keep these until taking the objective test Tuesday, September 26th. Please remember to bring your study guides with you to class. You will also need a #2 pencil to bubble in your answers. Unit 1 timelines are due on Monday, September 25.

Western World History– We did test corrections for the Ancient Civ. test. These will be worth up to 10 points if all incorrects answers are corrected. Students also received the vocabulary worksheet for the next unit, the Middle Ages. The first half of this should be done by Monday. The whole packet will be due on Tuesday, September 26.

APUSH- Classes worked on Discourse lessons for chapters 5 and 6, followed by a Socratic discussion over Crevecoeur’s Letters From an American Farmer.

Western World History- Final preparations and review, followed by the Ancient Civilizations test.

APUSH- All classes worked in assigned groups on the timeline assignment, which is now due on Monday, September 25. The Socratic Seminar will be on Block Day. American Colonies concept maps are now available for viewing.

Western World- Groups wrapped up research on world religions, and presented to the class. Ancient Civilization test in on block day. Review the Ancient Civilization Key Information Sheets.

APUSH- Today we wrapped up our Constitution Day Alien invasion activity. Second hour worked on chapter 5 in Discourse, while hours 5, 6, and 7 completed the American Colonies Freemind map. The Socratic Seminar for Block Day was introduced. Tomorrow, we will introduce the timeline activity.

Western World History- Today we discussed the Constitution Day activity and began work on World Religions research in small groups. The results of the research will be presented in class tomorrow, in preparation for the Ancient Civilization test on Block Day.

APUSH- We graded the chapter 3 & 4 study guides, then began discussion on the Alien Invasion Constitution Day problem. We will finish the discussion Monday. Also, the Founding Brothers essay is due on Monday, 9/18.

Western World History- Today we worked on Personal Plans of Progress. Monday we will work on our Constitution Day Activity as well as begin work on World Religions. The Ancient Civilization Test is on Block Day.

APUSH- Worked on the chapter 4 lesson in Discourse. Began work on concept maps on the English colonies in America using Freemind. When the maps are finished, probably Friday, I will link them to this page, and to my APUSH homepage.

Western World History- Performed Ancient Civilization skits.
