Students turned in the study guide for “Over the Edge” and then worked to complete their leader presentations which will be given on block day this week.

We went over the ideologies notes sheet for the first part of the period, and students used the remainder of the period to work on the leader presentations which will be due on block day.

We reviewed some of the terms on the Setting the Stage for WWII vocab sheet before turning it in. We then also reviewed some of the main ideas from the issues/concerns page from the Setting the Stage for WWII packet. For the last part of the period, student formed groups and began to work on the leader activity found in the packet.

We spent the whole block period doing an overview of U.S. participation in WWII in the Pacific Theater and the European Theater, as well as the home front.

We talked about the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and then began discussing the internment of Japanese and Japanese-Americans following Roosevelt’s Executive Order 9066.

Students received the Setting the Stage for WWII packet and started work on the Issuse/Concerns page. Students should also complete the Russian and German terms sections of the Setting the Stage for WWII vocab packet by tomorrow.

Students will take the objective portion of the WWI test and turn in their WWI packets with the review notes they created Friday.

I’m still running a fever, so I’ll be gone for at least another day. If you haven’t finished test corrections or submitting your DBQs to Turnitin.com, please do that as soon as possible. Please be sure to return all tests, answer sheets, and handwritten DBQs when you are finished.
I’ve had some reports that some of you think some of the answers on the test were scored incorrectly. I will look into that as soon as I am able.

Students will work on preparing for the WWI test by completing the review page in the WWI packet. I will collect these notes along with the packet on Monday when you take the test.
