We reviewed samples from the unit 1 dbq, worked on the essay skill of focusing on what the question is asking and the document skill of determining credility of a source, and then looked at the question and documents for the unit 2 dbq.
Students will write in class Friday.

Students worked on test corrections for the exploration test, and then had time to work on the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment revolution vocab that will be due at the beginning of the period on block day.

Students took the unit 2 objective test. Discourse for unit 2 was also due.
Tomorrow we will review the unit 1 dbq, and work on the unit 2 dbq activities.

Students took the Exploration test today. They also turned in the exploration maps and map packets.
After the test, students picked up and started to work on the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment vocab packet. This will be due at the end of the period tomorrow.

Students worked to complete the exploration map, then we reviewed the questions in the map packet.
I also distributed a review sheet for Monday’s Exploration Test. Students will need to bring the packet and a # 2 pencil to class Monday.

Student groups presented their President Reports.
Don’t forget the unit 2 test is on Tuesday. Review at theTestingCenter.com.
Discourse for unit 2 will also be due Tuesday.

Students watched the conclusion of The Mission. Movie study guides will need to be complete before class on block day.
On block, we will finish the maps, so be sure to bring your map packet and textbook. We will also review the discussion questions from the packet and review for the exploration test, which will be on Monday.

Students took the chapter 11, 12 vocab quiz, we talked briefly about the court cases in today’s homework plus Fletcher v. Peck (1810), and then students had a bit of time to polish their President presentations for block day.

Students continued to watch The Mission.
Students should have completed the political and economic aspects of exploration for both the map and discussion questions by now.
The Exploration Test will be next Monday, October 27.

Students presented the viewpoints of Hamilton and Jefferson on funding, the Bank of the US, protective tariffs, the Whiskey Excise, and the French Revolution.

Today students watched the first part of The Mission. Students are to watch for the religious and social, and economic motives and effects of European colonization on the native peoples of South America.
