The student response to Talk Like a Pirate Day was somewhat underwhelming. However, a great deal of work was done in Discourse, and students had a chance to meet in groups and begin planning their timeline presentations. Students will have the class period on Friday to work on the timelines as well. Timelines will be presented on Monday in class. If students finish with timelines before the end of the period on Friday, they may work on Discourse.
- Reminder that the Unit 1 objective test has been moved from Monday to Tuesday.
- Discourse will need to be completed by Tuesday as well. Discourse can be accessed from anywhere in the school.

Students had vision and hearing tested, then we simulated the middle passage, with some obvious limitations. Tomorrow students will have an opportunity to work and Discourse, and to work in groups to work on the time line assignment.
Don’t forgot the review question bank at theTestingCenter.com
- BTW, in honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, you may want to consider selecting a pirate name, and practicing some pirate phrases for tomorrow!
